Wimbledon turns 100 this year and is launching a unique NFT collection to mark the occasion. In 1922, the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) moved to new premises on Church Road.

Over the years, this venue has become an iconic landmark and the Shrine of Tennis.

In total there are 10 NFTs, each representing a decade of tennis on the famous center court. Each of these NFTs has 100 editions, which means there are 1000 NFTs in total, at £500 each.

Starting today, you can enter the voting to register your interest in “The Centenary Collection” collection.

The Wimbledon NFT Collection

To mark a century of world-class tennis at Wimbledon this NFT collection promised to offer an excellent and historic collection of NFT digital art.

To ensure that the great history that has taken place at the tennis institution is highlighted, the AELTC has partnered with Glorious.

Glorious

Glorious is an eco-friendly digital art studio and NFT marketplace, both of which have overseen the process of immortalizing the last 100 years of action at Centre Court on the blockchain, with culture, art, fashion and events from every decade.

“Wimbledon is treasured by one of the largest and most dedicated sets of fans in the world, many of whom already enjoy an appreciation of digital art. With these fans in mind, Glorious has worked with the AELTC to create a Centenary Collection masterpiece that immortalizes the magnificent history and legacy of Centre Court,” said Executive Director Tim Harper.

Voting for the Wimbledon NFT is now underway and registration is required via the website.

The selection process is random and winners will be notified by email, they will have 48 hours to complete their purchase.
