Music legend Usher partners with Rémy Martin, the cognac company, for a collection of luxury, multi-sensory NFTs.

The ‘Usher x Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal’ NFTs are a limited edition NFT with artificial intelligence technology.

These NFTs come with an exclusive physical bottle and will be available on BlockBar.com, which is one of the world’s leading direct-to-customer (DTC) marketplaces for premium alcohol NFTs.

Beginning July 29, 25 NFTs will be available for sale for $500 (0.34 ETH).

The Usher x Rémy Martin NFT Collection

The new “Usher x Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal” NFTs are the first from Rémy Martin, the world-famous cognac brand and part of the wider global campaign “Usher x Rémy Martin 1738: A Taste of Passion”.

“For nearly 300 years, excellence has been at the core of Rémy Martin, and through this partnership, we have reached an incredible milestone, where we see the advancement of brilliance at the intersection of art, fine cognac and technology,” says Amaury Vinclet, Global CEO of Rémy Martin. “As a brand that has long collaborated with Usher and shares the same values, we are proud to have it launch the first limited edition bottle design for Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal.”

The BlockBar Marketplace

Of the 50 bottles that will comprise this limited edition collection, 25 are available for purchase at BlockBar, a direct-to-consumer NFT marketplace for wines and spirits.

Bottles will be released at 10 a.m. ET on Friday, July 29, and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, priced at $500 each.

Buyers will receive a certificate of ownership of the physical bottle. Buyers will be able to keep the NFT, resell it on BlockBar or redeem it for the physical bottle beginning in October.

The other 25 will go to Usher and his team to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the My Way album.

Rémy’s NFTs and artificial intelligence

The artificial intelligence technology used to create these extraordinary NFTs is truly groundbreaking. The bottle art is a blend of Usher’s new age musical language and his experience with Rémy Martin’s Accord Royal 1738.

This translates into a visual representation that highlights the importance of music, technology and art.

“I’m an artist at my core, so transforming an abstract sensory experience like taste into something visual really relates to my creative process,” says Usher. “I drew on the exemplary Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal that flowed through me, and I’m very impressed by the visuals that came out of the AI process. They really represent the potpourri of tasting notes captured in the flavor.”

Titled Usher x 1738 A.I. Powered, the bottle features a modern design with a smooth cognac and tasting notes of toast, vanilla and brioche.

The artwork featured on the bottle was created using artificial intelligence technology. Usher’s own words were fed into a program called Generative Adversarial Neural Networks and Contrastive Language-Image Pre-Training.

This program turned his words into a colorful, abstract image that captures the feeling of warmth and pleasure that cognac holds within.

NFT Cognac and an Immersive Experience

NFT holders will be able to participate in an incredible event, in which the artist will bring to life the NFT collection’s “Usher x Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal” theme.

This new bottle goes hand-in-hand with the immersive “A Taste of Passion Experience” that will be part of Usher’s My Way residency in Las Vegas.

“This bottle is a first in the spirits industry for its use of technology,” says Vinclet. “It offers spirits aficionados and Usher fans a rare collectible that they will treasure forever.”

Using artificial intelligence technology, the brand will host this unique event to celebrate Usher’s brilliant run in Las Vegas.

In addition, attendees will be able to sample a collection of Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal cocktails specially curated by Rémy Martin and Usher.

Usher and Rémy Martin began working together more than a decade ago, when the French company partnered on his OMG World Tour.
