Top Ukrainian game developers and artists will make NFT charity fundraiser

It has been almost 3 months since the war broke out between Ukraine and Russia in February this year. However, there seems to be no end in sight for the war. In the latest attempt to raise funds for the war, Ukraine’s leading video game developers and artists have teamed up to launch an NFT charity collection on May 19.

Ukraine’s leading video game creators and artists to launch NFT charity collection

Titled “Avatars for Ukraine,” this NFT charity collection includes a total of 70 digital artworks. These artworks essentially depict the bravery of Ukrainians in the war. Each artwork comes from the incredible works of Ukraine’s best game developers, such as Rainbow Six, and artists such as Stanislav Lunin.

We encourage you to download these images and use them as personal avatars. You don’t need NFT to enjoy them, as well as you don’t need NFT to support Ukraine. – Avatars for Ukraine

On May 19, the NFT collection will be put up for auction on the MetaHistory NFT platform. The team will use 100% of the proceeds from the sale of NFT to purchase medical aid for Ukrainian defenders.

However, there are other ways to help Ukraine besides buying NFT from the charitable NFT collection. Those who wish to lend a hand can always choose to donate funds instead. According to their website, images of these avatars can be downloaded and used as profile pictures. And the fact is that “you don’t need NFT to enjoy them, just as you don’t need NFT to support Ukraine.”

To be clear, this is not the first time people have come together to help Ukraine through the sale of NFT. Back in April, Ukrainian authorities launched a website to receive donations of NFT and cryptocurrencies. Earlier, 38 NFT artists also joined to raise funds for the country. Let’s hope that the conflicts will end soon so that no one will have to endure the horrors of war.
