Binance, the global blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, today announced that it is the official sponsor of The Weeknd’s “After Hours Til Dawn” tour. This is the first global concert tour to integrate Web 3.0 technology to enhance the fan experience.

Binance has collaborated with HXOUSE, a think tank and community incubator for creative entrepreneurs, to launch an exclusive NFT collection for The Weeknd’s tour, along with co-branded tour merchandise. Attendees’ virtual ticket stubs will also be able to access commemorative NFTs that will provide unique experiences for fans.

There are so many possibilities with crypto and I think this is just the beginning.”

As a global goodwill ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), The Weeknd launched the XO Humanitarian Fund earlier this year to support WFP’s life-saving emergency operations in hunger hotspots around the world. In conjunction with the tour launch, Binance will donate $2 million to the XO Humanitarian Fund, administered by the World Food Program USA. In addition, The Weeknd and Binance are creating a specially designed NFT collection and five percent of its sales will be donated to the XO Humanitarian Fund.
The Weeknd’s “After Hours Til Dawn” tour will kick off on July 8, 2022. Binance.US is the official sponsor of The Weeknd’s U.S. tour and Binance.com for the global portion of the tour.
The Weeknd is no stranger to the Web3 space. He sits on the board of Tom Brady’s NFT platform, Autograph, and has launched NFT on the platform as well as Opensea.
He has also invested in metaverse real estate developer/investor Everyrealm and crypto payments infrastructure provider MoonPay, which raised $87 million from more than 60 celebrities in April.
