The new South Park movie, “The Streaming Wars Part 2,” is practically making fun of Hollywood actors promoting cryptocurrencies, NFTs and exchanges for their gross ignorance of how the crypto market works.
Among the celebrities mentioned in the film are Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, investor Larry David and tennis player Naomi Osaka. Each of them has lent their figure for cryptocurrency commercials that have been shared with millions of their followers.
South Park compares cryptocurrency investments to urine
According to the movie shorts shared on Twitter by trader @CryptoParadyme, the town of South Park runs out of drinking water and the citizens come up with the idea of replacing it with urine. They then use the Hollywood actors and tennis player who had advertised cryptocurrencies in real life to tout urine as a wonderful investment.
Matt Damon becomes a major player after making a real-life commercial for cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com. With the tagline “fortune favors the brave,” Damon invites people to invest in cryptocurrencies.

In the Crypto.com commercial, Damon compared potential investors in the crypto world to arctic explorers and even astronauts. However, since the month they released the video, cryptocurrencies began to plummet.
Bitcoin has fallen more than 70% since Damon’s video, while others, which were among the top 10 cryptocurrencies such as CRO, SUSHI, SOL, THETA, fell more than 90%.
If Damon’s followers were carried away by the euphoria caused by the commercial he starred in, today they would have about $350 approximately for every $1,000 they invested in bitcoin, due to the ignorance of the volatility of the crypto market.
