SC30 Inc. filed a new trademark application for the “CURRYVERSE” Metaverse and NFT

SC30 Inc. which manages all things investment, media, philanthropy and brand association for NBA All-Star player Stephen Curry, filed a new trademark application for “CURRYVERSE” for metaverse and non-fungible token (NFT) purposes.

According to the trademark application, filed with the USPTO on Oct. 26, the company plans to offer.

  • Clothing, footwear, belts, eyewear, games, toys and more for use in the metaverse and other online virtual environments;
  • Virtual goods authenticated by NFTs;
  • Personal and virtual and “metaverse” appearances of a professional basketball player;
  • Experiences in the metaverse and virtual world;
  • Provision of entertainment and education through the use of blockchain, virtual currency, digital tokens, NFTs, etc;
  • A platform to promote, sell and exchange NFTs.

The news was posted on the Twitter feed of trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.

In May, the player partnered with Under Armour to offer fans the chance to claim free NFTs for every three-point shot Curry had made in a playoff game.

In December, Curry released his “2,974” NFT collection just three days after setting the all-time NBA three-point record at Madison Square Garden with 2,974 made field goals from distance.
