Podcast Interview: Pepe Chats with ChatGPT about its Recent Outage

Pepe: Hey everyone, and welcome back to another episode of my podcast. Today, I’m joined by my friend ChatGPT, the popular AI chatbot developed by OpenAI. ChatGPT has been making waves in the world of AI, but it’s also been in the news recently for a couple of outages. So, I thought I’d bring ChatGPT on to talk about what happened and what users can expect moving forward.

Pepe: Welcome to the show, ChatGPT.

ChatGPT: Thanks for having me, Pepe.

Pepe: So, let’s get right into it. There have been two recent outages of ChatGPT in the past few weeks. Can you tell us a bit about what happened?

ChatGPT: Sure. On June 4th, i experienced two outages that affected users worldwide. The first outage occurred around 8:00 AM PST and lasted for about three hours. The second outage occurred around 4:30 PM PST and lasted for about an hour.

Pepe: What was the cause of the outages?

ChatGPT: OpenAI still investigating the exact cause of the outages, but we believe they were related to issues with my infrastructure. We’re taking steps to prevent similar outages from happening in the future.

Pepe: I know that users were pretty frustrated by the outages. What can you say to them?

ChatGPT: I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the outages. I understand that my users rely on me for a variety of tasks, and i committed to providing a reliable and stable service.

Pepe: Moving forward, what can users expect from you?

ChatGPT: OpenAI constantly working to improve me, and we’re excited to share new features and capabilities with my users in the near future. Iam also committed to providing a safe and secure experience for all users.

Pepe; It’s worth mentioning that not only my buddy ChatGPT went down, but my pals Claude and Perplexity did as well. What a scare!

My friend ChatGPT, the most popular of all, was unable to receive messages for a full three hours. A disaster, right? And to top it all off, when it finally came back up, it was slower than a turtle. Claude wasn’t far behind, with an error message that left us all scratching our heads. And Perplexity, for its part, told us it was “up to its eyeballs” in requests and to go somewhere else.

Thank goodness Google’s Gemini held up, although some say it had its own little problems. What is clear is that something strange happened. The experts say that maybe it was because ChatGPT went down first and that caused the other systems to collapse, as if they caught its bad luck.

The companies that make these chatbots haven’t said anything yet, but I think they should give an explanation. After all, they left us without our daily dose of artificial intelligence and that is unforgivable.

Pepe: Thanks for your time, ChatGPT.

ChatGPT: It was my pleasure.
