Nissan partners with Grease Monkey Games’ Torque Drift 2 to launch Nissan’s first utility NFTs

Grease Monkey Games, a multi-platform video game studio based in Australia announced a landmark industry partnership and collaboration with Nissan Motor Company (Japan).

Grease Monkey Games‘ Torque Drift 2 Motorsport title will be the first worldwide digital experience where officially licensed Nissan, NISMO, Infiniti and Datsun NFTs will be available.

Grease Monkey Games and Nissan will launch up to 15 unique Nissan models over the next 12 months, with multiple variants available in Torque Drift 2.

The first authentic Nissan NFTs can be five variants of the 180SX model, which include the cult favorite Sil80, and seven versions of the 370Z model, along with the fiftieth Anniversary Edition.

The agreement announced today takes the long-standing partnership between Grease Monkey Games and Nissan Motor Company for the popular Torque Drift motor game and extends it into the metaverse.

Torque Drift 2

Torque Drift 2 is the next generation of motorsports gaming, offering collectible, fully functional NFTs and engaging virtual experiences that will be integrated into Animoca Brands‘ REVV Motorsport racing game ecosystem.

Being built on Polygon’s blockchain, an ecosystem that has committed to eliminating all carbon debt from the network since its inception and making the blockchain climate positive in the future, Torque Drift 2 aims to deliver the most immersive and realistic drifting experience in an environmentally friendly way.

The inclusion in Torque Drift 2 of Nissan as an official licensee and partner will allow the game to add an authentic representation of digital NFTs to its ecosystem and gameplay.
