Meta announced the launch of three-dimensional banner ads on its social networks, Facebook and Instagram.
The launch of the 3D ads will be made through Meta’s partnership with VNTANA, a company dedicated to e-commerce and augmented reality.
This partnership was confirmed through a press release, where some of the future developments are shown.
Meta, interactive advertising
The technology developed by VNTANA will allow Meta to easily upload products to the networks and turn them into ads.
This move aims to include advertising within the metaverse, information issued directly by VNTANA CEO Ashley Crowder.
One of the fundamental goals of this type of advertising is to connect with customers through a virtual, immersive and fully interactive experience.
We are bringing 3D Ads to Facebook & IG!
With our new integration, VNTANA allows brands to upload their existing #3D designs from programs like @browzwear, @itsclo3d, @KeyShot3D & more & automatically converts them for Facebook & IG.

Users of the Meta, Facebook and Instagram networks will soon be able to view 3D products directly on the screen of their desktop or mobile devices and interact with the image by scrolling, zooming or viewing them from different angles.
Until now, advertisers who wanted to display products in 3D needed to change their format to make them compatible with the Meta system.
The system proposed by VNTANA only requires the uploading of the file, and the conversion to the necessary format is automatically performed, without the need for technical knowledge in three-dimensional images.
Another advantage offered by this algorithm, considered as the first 3D CMS, is the direct loading from various design and model creation software, such as: Keyshot, Modo, Browzwear and Clo.
VNTANA’s patented technology optimizes 3D files, reducing file size by up to 99%, a standard for Meta networks, automating a process that could require long hours of manual processing.
This will be one of the first features to be developed between Meta and VNTANA, where the integration of the two platforms is expected to deepen.
