LG’s Monster Shoe
The Monster Shoe is made with NFT technology and is a virtual sneaker. Through the company’s IoT mobile app, LG ThingQ, customers can collect 5,500 types of digital sneakers with unusual designs.
In addition, they can store and exchange their NFT sneakers through the cryptocurrency wallet.
The shoes were developed in collaboration with students from Induk University’s Department of Game Design and VR. The shoe care devices, Styler ShoeCare and Styler ShoeCase, were presented in September at the IFA 2022 technology fair in Germany.
Styler ShoeCare uses TrueSteam technology to improve hygiene and control moisture and odor in shoes. It is a physical display with a 360-degree rotating platform. It includes transparent panels and a design that allows four boxes to be stacked on top of each other. In addition, the Styler ShoeCase maintains optimal temperature and humidity.
Each product is made from recycled plastic, thanks to the company’s commitment to climate change management. Both devices will go on sale in the first half of 2023 in the Korean market.
“We will give a different customer experience with Styler Shoecase and Shoecare, the next-generation premium shoe management solution and exclusive NFT shoes,” Baek Seung-tae, head of LG’s home appliance division, said in a statement. “In the first half of 2023, it’s going to launch a premium shoe care solution by means of making use of regenerative plastics at the outdoors.”
Meanwhile, LG’s shoe care solution, which incorporates LG’s innovative TrueStream technology, one of the most effective germ-killing technologies, offers a quick and easy-to-use method to absorb moisture and help eliminate odors from footwear.
CES 2023 will be held in Las Vegas from January 5-8 and will hit shelves in the second half of next year.
In Las Vegas, LG will offer a “phygital” (physical and digital) experience zone. Customers will be able to use holograms and art toys along with augmented reality technology to view and try on NFT shoes inside a Styler shoe box.
Starting January 25, they will be able to enter a sweepstakes to win a pair of NFT sneakers. Through the cryptocurrency wallet, customers will be able to store and exchange earned NFT shoes.

During CEDIA Expo 2022, LG unveiled its newest and most innovative TVs, some of which include NFT artwork.
