Cold wallet assembler Ledger bought 36 lands in The Sandbox with the aim of creating educational games in the metaverse under the Play To Earn modality, a press release reported.

Ledger said these educational games offer a way to enter the cryptocurrency ecosystem without exposing users to volatility.

Anastasia Golovina, a spokesperson for the company, assured that 2.2 million users of The Sandbox will benefit from this educational content related to the metaverse and the security of cold wallets.

“This partnership will empower registered users of The Sandbox with essential security and further engages millions of Ledger users in more than 180 countries to secure their metaverse holdings,” Golovina said.

Ledger Wallet participated in the “Non Fungible Conference” held in Lisbon, Portugal, delivering a series of talks on the advances that Non Fungible Tokens (NFT) and the metaverse have made today.

Educating new users is good business

Ledger founder and CEO Ian Rogers said in an interview that educating new users in the crypto ecosystem is good business.

“If you do your homework with cryptocurrencies, then you learn about self-custody, hardware wallet and once you learn that you choose Ledger because it’s the best digital wallet,” he said.

More than 2,500 people participated this week in the first edition of the Non Fungible Conference (NFC) to learn about the latest developments related to NFTs and the metaverse.
