The South Korean vehicle manufacturer, Hyundai, will launch on Thursday, June 9 from 22:00 UTC through the Decentraland metaverse its new car model, Creta.
The information was published through the official Decentraland site, which provides the exact coordinates to attend the event.
The idea of the so-called “Cretaverse” organized by Hyundai, is to virtually introduce its new SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle), while enjoying live music and sharing with the audience.
Additionally, Hyundai will give away some NFT items usable within the metaverse, as well as a POAP that certifies your attendance to the launch.
Hyundai and the Web 3.0
This presentation organized by Hyundai is not the company’s first approach to NFTs and the metaverse, as a few months ago, in collaboration with Meta Kongz, it launched its first collection of NFTs.
At the time, Hyundai Motors Company was one of the first automakers to enter the NFT market, allowing its customers to experience the metaverse.
This collection was the basis for the launch of a short film based on the digital universe, in which some of the NFT characters can be seen, as well as iconic cars of the company.
In May, Hyundai launched a new collection, called “Shooting Star”, which had 10,000 pieces sold out.
These pieces do not have a defined shape yet, but they will soon become NFT of the Metamobility project, in this way Hyundai will approach Web 3.0 with an original style.
This experimental journey is guided by the company’s Global Marketing Director and Head of Customer Experience Division, Thomas Schemera, who announced that new advantages will be introduced to the community with the use of this technology.
