Azerion, the digital media and entertainment platform, announced today that Habbo will partner with popular blockchain brand CyberKongz.
This partnership, announced during the MET AMS Metaverse festival is the second that Habbo is undertaking in recent weeks, as it increases the utility of NFTs within Habbo hotels.
This was announced during Azerion’s presentation at the MET AMS festival in Amsterdam (taking place June 14-17), where they are showcasing the latest developments at their booth as they continue to pioneer their corner of the Web3 metaverse.

What is the Habbo x CyberKongz partnership about?
CyberKongz NFT holders will be able to unlock unique in-game collectibles, including clothing, badges and furniture to decorate their hotel rooms (as well as speech bubbles and custom effects in a future Habbo update) by connecting their crypto-wallets to their Habbo account.
These items will be exclusively owned and linked to CyberKongz NFT ownership, allowing owners to showcase their collections on Habbo and feel connected to the wider NFT community. Habbo will also create a decorative community room for collaborations as a social hub for the collection.
“We are very excited to bring the CyberKongz community to Habbo,” said Mika Timonen, Director of NFT. “CyberKongz is one of my favorite projects and is the perfect project to help kick off our collaborations.”
“The addition of CyberKongz to Habbo is a great step to strengthen our position as an industry-leading Metaverse,” said Jurriaan van Teunenbroek, Vice President of Games and Content at Azerion. “Habbo has more than 20 years of experience entertaining people and being the ultimate place for people from all over the world with shared interests to socialize and interact with each other, allowing them to connect in a safe and fun environment.”
“Habbo Hotel is one of the OG projects from the early days of Web2 and I vividly remember playing it as a kid…. Witnessing brands like them harnessing the power of NFTs and Web3 is truly inspiring and a match made in heaven. We are very proud and excited to collaborate with such an amazing project,” said myoo, founder of CyberKongz.

About Habbo
Habbo is an online community for teens and young adults. It is also one of the largest virtual communities in the world. Founded in 2000, Habbo has expanded to nine online communities or “hotels”. It has paying customers in more than 150 countries and more than 600,000 monthly active users. Habbo was originally developed by Sulake, a Finnish company owned by Azerion. Last year, Habbo launched its first NFT collection.
About CyberKongz
CyberKongz started as a collection of 1000 unique, randomly generated non-fungible tokens (NFT) created in early March 2021, priced at 0.01 mostly by artist myoo. Although there was no pre-launch or advertising campaign, NFTs enthusiasts who discovered the minting process on Opensea.io and shared their interest on social media paid close attention to it.
CyberKongz’s 34×34 pixel images achieved great popularity due to their suitability as profile pictures on Discord and social networks, at a time when no one was talking about profile picture projects.
Over time, a shared idea emerged to drive the development of CyberKongz as a community-based project. The CyberKongz community is home to some of the best developers and experts in the NFT and De-Fi space.
They volunteered their skills and time to develop the community’s ideas. In a short period of time, the $BANANA token was created, which gives CyberKongz the ability to produce $10 $BANANA a day, for the next ten years.
By burning a certain amount of $BANANA, owners can give their CyberKongz features such as a unique name and biography, as well as breed and hatch one of 4,000 randomly generated baby CyberKongz with different traits and quirks.
From there, CyberKongz VX was seen as the next logical evolution. Wanting so badly to delve into the metaverse, CyberKongz knew it had to bring the jungle to life and get into action.
Just over 3 months after the addition of the new Baby CyberKongz, CyberKongz VX was launched! A collection of 15,000 3D voxel models that can be used and played in upcoming metaverses.
