The Habbo vintage pixel-art online community and Ethereum-based gaming ecosystem The Sandbox recently announced their partnership.

This new collaboration will allow members of The Sandbox and Habbo ecosystems to interact, share experiences and explore the metaverse together.

Habbo and The Sandbox

This new partnership will allow the communities of The Sandbox and Habbo ecosystems to come together to create their own experiences and explore the metaverse together.

This Habbo experience created in The Sandbox will initiate the entrance of the well-known Habbo Hotel and its receptionist, Frank, one of the most famous Habbo characters. In this experience, players will help Frank manage the hotel by carrying out interesting tasks.

The Habbo Sandbox experience will allow players to learn more about the Habbo universe and history, while expanding the narrative with new events and plot points.

This alliance expands Habbo’s Web3 presence, which started with Habbo X.

Habbo x The Sandbox

“In many strategies, Habbo Hotel laid the foundation for a social virtual world in which over three hundred million avatars related to social tales for two years,” says Sebastien Borget, COO and co-founder of The Sandbox. “We are satisfied to collaborate with Habbo and create reviews in The Sandbox to empower their community with our no code Game Maker. This will provide more human-created content cloth and encourage interoperability, highlighting the strength of Web3 and the open metaverse.”

“The Sandbox metaverse has done an amazing job pushing the boundaries of Web3, building a strong community and top-tier partners,” said Jurriaan van Teunenbroek, vice president of games at Azerion. “We are glad to work with The Sandbox on our Web3 adventure to extend the metaverse via interworking and collaboration.”

Habbo Hotel

Habbo has been one of the most popular games for many years. Developed by Finnish studio Sulake, this online community-building game has been appealing to teens and young adults for more than two decades.

Since its inception, Habbo Hotel has had 316 million avatars and about 800,000 monthly active users. Without a doubt, it has more visits than most games on the Web3.

One of its icons is the “Hotel.” Users can log in to the Habbo homepage, access the hotel and browse Habbo’s offerings. Users can buy items, send private messages to friends and decorate their “Home” room.

The game existed before the advent of social networks or the metaverse.
