Soccer legend Dani Alves will launch an NFT luxury watch with Backes and Strauss as part of an event at the MetaTerrace show in Dubai on June 28.
In addition, the event has been organized in collaboration with Dubai-based ColossalBit. The NFTs will also be able to be accompanied by a physical version of the watches, and NFTs will be available for fractionalization.

“We are honored to collaborate with him and Backes & Strauss … as he begins his NFT journey at MetaTerrace. It’s an exciting time for the cryptocurrency world and for Dubai as a launch pad,” said Christian Chalfoun, co-founder and chief technology officer of ColossalBit.
Backes and Strauss’ NFT
Brazilian footballer Dani Alves will visit Dubai for the launch of his NFT watch project in collaboration with watch manufacturer Backes and Strauss, Metaverse consultancy ColossalBit and nightlife venue MetaTerrace.
Each of the watch variants will pay tribute to the 43 trophies Alves has won throughout his illustrious career, which has seen him play for Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, Sao Paulo and the Brazilian national team, among others.
The “Alves Trofeo NFT Watch Collection” will be sold in three rarities: premium, fractional and normal NFTs. The premium is 1/1 and provides ownership of the physical watch and more benefits.
The Fractional NFT will allow five of the 43 watches to be sold. There are 750 of them, and owners will own a small piece of each watch, plus other benefits. Finally, a total of 1,482 regular NFTs will be offered for sale, which offer their own benefits. More details about the watches and each of their benefits can be found here.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Backes & Strauss to commemorate the Dani Alves Trophy Watch Collection, turn it into an NFT drop and launch it here at MetaTerrace,” said Ciro Arianna, co-founder and CEO of ColossalBit and MetaTerrace, known for purchasing the infamous S.T. Dupont NFT pen that once belonged to soccer legend Diego Armando Maradona. The company’s portfolio also includes the world’s first augmented reality NFT mural called “Future NFT Dubai” and the world’s first NFT for a 6-star Michelin gastronomic event.
Dani Alves said, “This collection is to celebrate the 43 wonderful memories of every trophy I have won so far in my soccer career. Starting with the Bahia in Brazil in 2002 and ending with the only Olympic gold medal at the Tokyo Games in 2021. I personally invite you to become part of my story: choose the watch that brings back the most vivid memories of these 43 different victories.”
