Emergence Launches New Worlds Initiative for the Open Metaverse, Powered by $OMETA

Emergence, a leader in gaming innovation, is proud to announce the launch of the New Worlds Initiative, designed to drive the growth and interoperability of the first 100 World Producers for the Open Metaverse. With the backing of $OMETA tokens and Emergence infrastructure, this initiative offers unprecedented support for projects that advance us into a playable cinematic universe of new worlds.

Since 2018, Crucible has been building Emergence, a suite of tools, products, and services dedicated to enabling seamless, interoperable experiences across games and virtual worlds. With the New Worlds Initiative, Emergence is accelerating the adoption of the Open Metaverse, transforming it from a speculative concept into a thriving, interconnected ecosystem.

A Roadmap for the Open Metaverse

The New Worlds Initiative provides members with tools, co-development opportunities, and premium access to the Emergence SDK and Marketplace.

As a major milestone for the Open Metaverse, the Initiative advances a movement towards open IP, giving brands, artists, and developers the ability to collaboratively shape new worlds and economies while retaining ownership of their creations while exploring what is possible as this playable cinematic universe unfolds.

Empowering Interoperability with $OMETA

A cornerstone of the New Worlds Initiative is the integration of $OMETA tokens, designed to be foundational within partner ecosystems, communities and economies.

Some initiative members shall receive grants of $OMETA tokens, which they can integrate into their platforms to reward communities, facilitate within the Emergence ecosystem, and incentivize powerful collaborative efforts across Open Meta to fulfil this collective vision of interoperability and experimentation as a community and a culture.

By embedding $OMETA as a shared token across these platforms, Emergence ensures that the Initiative fosters interoperability while creating a dynamic, cross-platform economy that supports creators and players alike.

This strategic token allocation ensures that $OMETA is both a driver of innovation and a tool for community engagement, creating additional utility for $OMETA across partner platforms and increasing distribution to potentially millions of new users. By embedding $OMETA into their ecosystems, members can strengthen the value they offer their communities and expand their networks, fuelling a broader adoption of the Emergence framework and the compounding value that interoperability brings.

Inaugural Members of the New Worlds Initiative

Emergence unveils the inaugural members of the New Worlds Initiative:

Bunshin Industries: An Emergence powered, richly rendered Unreal-based world in a near future Tokyo, with a suite of creator tools that achieve photorealism in UGC. Through Bunshin, creators can easily integrate and import interoperable and on-chain assets and characters in their wallets using the Emergence SDK, and players can experience a world with the same quality as a AAA game but expansive new horizons.

“Bunshin and its creator encompass exactly what a World Producer is and we are excited to announce them as our first of the New Worlds Initiative.” – Ryan Gill, Founder & CEO

KOR: which provides on-chain IP management, tracking, and monetisation of intellectual property (IP) in entertainment and is helping to power a new approach to the creator economy. By working with Emergence, the teams will explore how to integrate KORs decentralised IP and AI infrastructure into Emergence SDK, providing a new canvas for musicians and IPs working with KOR such as Black Mirror, deadmau5, Imogen Heap, Richie Hawtin and Dixon and many others innovating and making new culture to grow through new interactive mediums.

ON1 Force: A global community of passionate artists and developers focused on building the future of storytelling through a decentralised anime universe called the 0N1VERSE. As a member of the New Worlds Initiative, the parties will explore the intersection of narrative and community.

Basejump + ACTION: An AI-powered social gaming stack for the 3.3 billion people who use game assets. Basejump allows gamers to create, find, share, earn, and buy in-game assets that can be used across multiple platforms. ACTION is ChatGPT for games: an open, permissionless gaming substrate (powering Basejump and other applications) that lets users create and mint game experiences, avatars, and interoperable game assets.

These inaugural members of the New Worlds Initiative will join the ranks of the existing partnerships that Emergence has within its ecosystem, including Futureverse (which is launching OP3N, based on the IP of Ready Player One) and Lamina1 (co-founded by Neal Stephenson):
