Celebrity Cruises is riding the wave of the future of art with its first foray into NFTs. In collaboration with artist Rubem Robierb, Celebrity has launched the NFT Peacemakers Sunset collection, which complements Robierb’s powerful Peacemakers sculpture found on its new ship, Celebrity Beyond.

Each NFT includes two invitations, which cannot be purchased, to the ship’s exclusive naming ceremony and sailing in Fort Lauderdale, November 4-6.
The new NFT collection consists of an edition of five moving art pieces, one of which was on display at the Cube Art Fair in Times Square May 18-22.
When can I get Celebrity Cruises’ NFTs?
On June 1, the NFTs will be available for purchase through the OpenSea platform. Proceeds from sales will go to the artist.
In addition, a variant of these NFTs titled “Peacemakers, Blue Sky” can be found aboard Celebrity Beyond, making it the first NFT at sea.

Once the NFTs go on sale, they can be resold and exchanged an unlimited number of times. On July 1 at 5 p.m. ET, each owner of a Peacemakers Sunset NFT will be deemed the recipient of invitations to attend the ship’s christening ceremony, including round-trip airfare for two to Celebrity Beyond’s christening ceremony and sailing, Nov. 4-6, 2022.

Rubem Robierb
Rubem Robierb is a visual artist whose line of work is linked to pop art through the use of the two-dimensional image and its repetition as a resource, using figuration to transmit to the viewer images whose meaning can be read between the lines.
Originally from Brazil, Rubem Robierb lives and works in New York and Miami. Rubem’s art has been recognized worldwide as timely and influential, and has been exhibited in exhibitions and acclaimed art festivals around the world.
In addition to Robierb’s “Peacemakers” design aboard Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Cruises also features his thought-provoking “Dream Machine” on Celebrity Edge, which explores the desire for a just and equitable society; and “Empower Flower” on Celebrity Apex, which celebrates women’s rights and empowerment.
