Bored & Hungry removes the stigma surrounding NFTs.
Founded by renowned food entrepreneur Andy Nguyen, Bored & Hungry will operate as a 90-day pop-up powered by Trill Burgers and Beleaf Burgers. In addition, as the proud owner of Bored Ape Yacht Club #6184, Nguyen is using the Ape’s intellectual property to create the restaurant’s branding.
“The goal is to give back to the growing Web 3.0 community and open the doors to those who want to learn more about this new Web 3/NFT world,” said Nguyen.
“Our job is to educate the public about this new future world. And to show people that you can create a brand/business from this intellectual property. To take away the stigma of ‘it’s just a jpeg’.”
Looking at the long lines of customers outside his shop, it’s safe to say that Nguyen’s vision is paying off. However, the Bored & Hungry founder isn’t about to slow down his venture into NFTs. In fact, Nguyen will partner with Kevin Seo to launch the Food Fighters Universe (FFU) NFT collection this May.
The idea is to develop the world’s first NFT-backed restaurant group and use Web 3 to solve problems currently seen in the food and beverage industry.
However, Bored & Hungry is not the first NFT-themed restaurant. The honor goes to Flyfish Club, which is the world’s first NFT restaurant founded by Gary Vee. As NFT goes mainstream, we will see more stories like Bored & Hungry’s in the coming months.
