AlterVerse
AlterVerse’s fundraising comes on the heels of completing the Binance Incubation Program.
Funds from the not-yet-completed private round will be used to expand the AlterVerse ecosystem and accelerate the roadmap. AlterVerse said it is still in talks with other high-profile funds to support its aggressive gaming strategy.
“AlterVerse is a beautiful amalgamation of real-world experiences and high-end gaming in the metaverse. The vision and scale of the project is impressive, and what has already been developed is amazing. I look forward to continuing to support the AlterVerse team on this journey,” commented Shashwat Gupta, co-founder of Baselayer Capital and CEO and founder of Altcoin Buzz.
AlterVerse is developing an interconnected gaming experience that will feature interconnected game worlds, games and communities. The game will also be built using Epic Games‘ next-generation Unreal Engine 5 gaming software.
Sky City is just the first of a phased gameplay experience that will also feature:
- Sky City: the main social hub of the AlterVerse, where players can buy land, build, shop, socialize, gather resources, craft NFTs, trade items, and play and win.
- Outpost: First-person shooter game.
- Rekt: Hardcore survival game
- City Servers: decentralized Metaverse platform with “Metaservers” that can be owned, operated and customized.
The gameplay mechanic sounds very similar to what Illuvium co-founder Kieran Warwick shared during the Token2049 event in Singapore.
Illuvium is another blockchain game developer looking to usher in the next generation of web3 gaming. The company’s interconnected web3 game will allow users to bring their assets to the next game in a linked gaming experience powered by the $ILV token.
Like Illuvium, AlterVerse’s interconnected game will be powered by its native $ACE token, which will be used for in-game transactions, currency and player rewards. The token will launch on the BNB blockchain along with metaverse lands and NFT skins, the AlterVerse company wrote in a blog post on Medium.
“AlterVerse is building at the forefront of metaverse gaming. We love their team’s vision and passion for building an unprecedented decentralized gaming experience, and are proud to support them in making this vision a reality.” Shitij Gupta, Co-Founder, Baselayer Capital
The company plans to enrich its gaming platform with an NFT marketplace that can integrate with multiple blockchains, including Polygon, BNB Smart Chain and Effinity, among others.
Sam Stebbins, advisor to Alterverse and CEO of Space Misfits commented, “AlterVerse is bringing AAA quality games combined with a metaverse that is nothing short of beautiful.”
